IBM earned the award for supplying Intel with notebooks, desktops, workstations and servers.

"What makes this award most meaningful is the fact that Intel, itself a leader in technology, chooses IBM ThinkPad notebooks, ThinkCentre desktops,ThinkVantage Technologies, eServer xSeries systems and IntelliStation workstations throughout its operations for the third consecutive year," said Sameh Farid, regional manager of personal computing division, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "We value the recognition as the award reflects the same quality and performance levels we provide our customers across the world, including the Middle East."

The SCQI awards are part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement process, which encourages Intel's key suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and responsiveness goals.
