Dr. Buzz Aldrin speaks at ABRAAJ investor dinner

Senior businessmen and investors from around the region met over dinner at the Mina Al Salam Hotel in Dubai to discuss investment opportunities and ABRAAJ's highly successful fund performance on the eve of the company's annual investor conference.

Arif Masood Naqvi, executive vice-chairman and chief executive officer of ABRAAJ Capital, said that Dr. Aldrin's presence at the dinner was indicative of the ethos and the principles of ABRAAJ Capital that has consistently aimed to make a difference in what it does and achieve a new level of ambition within the regional market. Dr. Aldrin explained how both his career as a fighter pilot and his postgraduate studies focusing on space travel had changed the way he perceives the world and convinced him that challenging ambitious can be achieved with determination and drive. He said that he is particularly keen to encourage young people to pursue their dreams and be determined in the face of a challenge.

"I am a firm believer that space travel should be for everyone and am working to help render it accessible to people from all walks of life," said Dr Aldrin who spoke extensively about his own personal experience as one of only seven humans to have walked the moon and about recent initiatives to send civilians into outer space.
