- PRESS RELEASE
Santé, the French mineral water which is being introduced into the Middle East, is teaming up with Reed Travel Exhibition's charity 'Just a Drop' to raise cash to provide clean water for children around the globe.
Jointly with Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which organizes the show, it will encourage exhibitors and visitors to support the charity that has provided clean water to thousands of children and their families by signing up as sponsors.
Samples and sponsorship forms will be available at the Santé 'Just a Drop' stand at Arabian Travel Market 2004.
And FBWC has pledged that a percentage of the price of every bottle of Santé it sells in future will go to supporting 'Just a Drop.'
Rajesh Arab, Chief Executive Officer, FBWC, said: "Through the launch of its flagship product, Santé, in the region, FBWC is committed to bringing the benefits of affordable, healthy and pure spring water, right to the doorsteps of customers across the Middle East.
"Our association with 'Just a Drop', which is well-known for its campaign to make clean water accessible to children across the world, is an extension of this core philosophy.
"While Santé is currently available in some hotels in the region, we will be launching it in the UAE retail market at the end of May through an exclusive distributor tie-up."
Santé - which in French means "health" and "good cheer" - is bottled at source at the St Léger, Ste-Sophie & Aurčle springs in the heart of the French countryside.
Tom Nutley, a 'Just a Drop' Trustee and RTE's Chairman, said: "Next time you turn on the tap just remember that 1.4 billion children have no clean water close to their homes and every 10 seconds somewhere in the world a child dies because of dirty water.
"That is why we were keen to have Santé's support in raising both money and awareness at ATM. All the money raised goes straight to the work of the appeal. There is no huge administration and staff cost. With a record number of exhibitors signed up we hope to raise a substantial amount of sponsorship."
More than 1,300 exhibitors from 55 countries will be at ATM, taking a 25% increase in occupied floor space.
