- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 27 - 2004 at 14:57
- PRESS RELEASE
The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), the Kingdom's official marketing organisation, is set to participate in the forthcoming Arabian Travel Market 2004 (ATM) for the 9th consecutive year, revealing its strong commitment to boosting tourism traffic into the Kingdom from around the world, and in particular the Arabian Gulf.
Jordan's promotional efforts at various source markets, particularly in the Gulf, has attracted a growing number of Gulf and European tourists into the Kingdom.
JTB will also use ATM as a platform to announce upcoming events for the coming year including Souq Okaz - an international poetic forum - and the popular Jerash International Festival which takes place in the ancient Greek-Roman city of Jerash, and presents performances by a host of international artists, musicians, and folklore groups.
Commenting on the Board's plans for ATM, Khoury said: "Having successfully achieved a number of our key objectives in the first quarter of this year, especially taking into account the current political and economical climate, we are looking forward to participating in ATM, which is the ideal platform to create awareness and promote Jordan's distinctive product offering amongst the travel trade," he added.
This year the Jordan Tourism Board stand is located in Hall 8 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, stretching across 180 square meters and has an authentic cultural feel to it.
