Elizabeth George transferred from a 5-star hotel chain property in Abu Dhabi, where she held the position of Training Manager, overseeing and in-charge of all aspects of training and self-development opportunities and mainly conducting and appointing required courses to employees.
Elizabeth George first joined the hospitality industry in 1988 as a Pastry Chef in a 5-star hotel in South Wales, throughout which she also obtained a degree in Hospitality Management. She then got promoted to Restaurant Manager in 2 years. She then moved to Heathrow to become a Junior Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. From 1995 until 1998, she held the position of Events Manager in a country - side Spa and Resort in London. Her banqueting experience was further enhanced when she moved from the country side into London's city rush, holding the position of Conference and banquets manager until the year 2000. Her next career step shifted into the Middle-Eastern Region, acquiring the position of Training Manager in a 5-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, where she created a more enjoyable atmosphere and motivation for self - development and improvement in the service sector.
Her main goal as Human Resources Manager of the InterContinental Dubai is to sustain the high standards of servicing, and to further expand the training and development of personal and professional aspects of all the employees and management team, reflecting the overall service performance of the InterContinental Dubai.
