Toshiba Computer Systems has introduced the latest in entertainment notebooks with new models in its Satellite P20 series.
The Satellite® P20 series comes equipped with NVIDIA®'s latest GeForce™ FX Go5700 graphics that deliver the highest caliber video and performance available on a notebook PC today. With the enhanced graphics (64MB Video RAM) and multimedia features, users can experience theatre-quality images when playing video games or watching movies. The new models also feature a DVD Super Multi Drive (DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM) which lets users record digital content to both DVD '+' or '-' devices for added convenience, and benefit from the increased storage from the DVD-RAM functionality.
Together with built in harmon/kardon® speakers and SRS TruSurround XT™ technology, the notebooks provide a complete entertainment package featuring the highest quality audio and multimedia capabilities.
The Satellite® P20 series notebooks are the ideal replacement system for users who need a portable PC without sacrificing the performance of a desktop computer. With its 17.0-inch wide-screen display and high-quality graphics, the Satellite® P20 series is ideal for watching movies, playing video games or multi-tasking in several windows at once.
Toshiba's new notebook PCs also come installed with Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition , so users can watch their favorite television programs or record them directly on to the notebook for later viewing; store and access digital images and video files; and play DVD movies anytime, anywhere. The Satellite® P20 series also includes S-video and component video out, so consumers can view their favorite programs or movies on a regular or digital TV in the standard or higher-definition format.
"Increasingly, users are demanding more functionality from their notebooks. Whether they are at home watching a DVD or in the office developing a presentation, the notebook must be able to take on any task," said Matthias Blank, acting regional manager of Toshiba's Middle East Computer Systems Division.
"Toshiba developed the Satellite® P20 series to deliver the ultimate in digital convergence with home entertainment, multimedia functionality and business features combined in a mobile computing platform."
The Satellite® P20 series also features an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor with Hyper-Threading Technology, which enables better system responsiveness and performance when running two or more applications simultaneously, as well as up to 80GB hard disk drive.
