DWTC initiative to encourage national weddings

In an initiative designed to encourage and facilitate weddings among UAE nationals, the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has decided to make available its versatile facilities in the exhibition halls, Sheikh Rashid Hall, Sheikh Maktoum Hall and Al Multaqua Ballroom as an exclusive marriage venue during the summer months from June to August.

'The offer is made in order to provide a unique address for national weddings, and also to help iron out the organisational, logistical and other hurdles faced by young UAE nationals who want to get married,' said DWTC General Manager Hospitality, Ahmed Hareb.

He noted that through the summer months, the top-of-the-line facilities of the DWTC, complemented by the services of its award-winning hospitality arm, the Dubai International Catering Centre will be available at encouraging prices to suit all budgets and tastes.

The DWTC has become increasingly popular for hosting all sorts of functions in incomparable style that can be reflected in the large number of royal weddings being held here. In addition there have been numerous VIP weddings, exclusive banquets and other exclusive functions that attract the cream of society that have been held at the DWTC Complex with great élan and style.

'The DWTC's exhibition halls, Sheikh Rashid Hall and Al Multaqua Ballroom offer ideal venues for hosting high-class weddings and business has grown phenomenally over the last year, as more and more people realise that the DWTC offers far greater exclusivity, and considerably more flexibility and privacy advantages than similar facilities available at leading five-star hotels,' Mr. Hareb remarked.

The Al Multaqua Ballroom can comfortably accommodate up to 700 guests, while those who expect more guests can choose one or more of the Exhibition Halls or the state-of-the-art Sheikh Rashid hall set up in banquet format. Problems of parking are non-existent, with the centre offering the largest parking lot in town in its category, considerably enhanced by the new multi-storey parking lot attached to the Dubai International Convention Centre.

Backing up the superb facilities is undoubtedly top-class cuisine. The Dubai International Catering Centre, offers a wide range of culinary delights prepared by an experienced team of master chefs, who specialize in local as well as Lebanese, Iranian, French, Chinese, Indian, Moroccan and Eqyptian cuisines, that cater to every taste imaginable.
