Ministry of Education adds BenQ digital technology to Egypt's classrooms

BenQ, the region's leader in digital lifestyle products, today announced that it has signed a deal with Egypt's Ministry of Education to provide digital projectors to schools and universities across the country.

The new teaching aids are part of a drive by the Ministry of Education to boost the use of technology is Egyptian classrooms, and comes as part of a series of major innovations to develop higher education facilities within Egypt.

'Projectors are an interesting and alternative way to display sometimes complex information clearly, and as a teaching aid they are an invaluable tool for the learning process. Students across Egypt will benefit from the Ministry's foresight,' said Mohamed Sameh, vice president, International Business Systems, Egypt. 'We are delighted to be working with the ministry in advancing the educational needs of students in Egypt.'

Under the terms of the agreement, International Business Systems will provide after-sales service for the projectors supplied to the ministry.

'Egypt has shown a strong commitment to investing in its people, by providing them with the latest and most technologically advanced equipment. BenQ is pleased to be a part of this initiative and we hope that students will enjoy learning with the aid of our products,' said Zakaraya Ashek, account manager, BenQ Middle East.

Over recent months, BenQ has provided projectors to schools and universities across the Middle East, after signing similar agreements with other ministries of education, including the Jordanian and Omani ministries.
