Exclusive MGM movie channel roars onto the Orbit Network

The Orbit Satellite Television & Radio Network, the Middle East's market leader, is pleased to have signed an exclusive broadcast deal with Metro Goldwyn Mayer enhancing its new multi-channel bouquet with an English Language Movie Channel commencing March 7th.
The MGM Channel will leap onto the Orbit Network, with an incredible round-the-clock selection of blockbuster movies. The channel will capitalise on the vast and celebrated MGM Library that includes such epic franchises as James Bond, Rocky, and the Pink Panther. Other titles include award winning and popular movies Thelma & Louise, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Moonstruck, Silence of the Lambs, Rain Man, Fargo, Dances with Wolves and host of others starring the very best Hollywood has to offer. MGM will also showcase critically acclaimed MGM masterpieces from the Woody Allen collection as well as its vast repertoire of timeless classics. MGM's "roaring lion" symbolises, and defines Hollywood for audiences across all age groups. With the lion's share of titles from the modern era including more than 3000 titles produced since 1960 in the MGM stable, viewers across North Africa and the Middle East can now look forward to another marquee offering from the Orbit Network.
Commenting on the launch, Johnny Malek, Orbit's Vice President Marketing, observed: "This is another exciting channel for the Orbit bouquet and forms part of our continued commitment to offering our subscribers the highest quality in entertainment. This is just the first step in Orbit's continuous efforts to offer a premium bouquet of movie channels with the widest range of blockbuster titles and celebrated films. And we haven't finished yet.
