In association with the British Quality Circles Association, Etisalat Academy organizes the first Regional Quality Circles & Assurance Conference

This step comes as part of the Academy's integrated curricular to qualify senior cadres during the training year 2004.

The two-day conference will be held at the Conference Hall of Etisalat Academy and will deal with various topics, means, intellectual methodology, systems and mechanisms used in supporting, establishing and creating sustainable development. In addition to organizational, technical and administrative criteria to achieve comprehensive quality excellence, measurement and development tools through systems integration to improve operations and products and the role of information systems in this improvement, in close coordination with Strategic Change Department to achieve this objective and to monitor the development patterns and quality circles of many technology, banking and service sectors in general including e-government operations.

The British expert, David Hatchen, General Secretary of the International Quality Circles & Assurance Association, along with the Senior Consultant of the American Quality Consultant Society, visited Etisalat Academy recently to coordinate the preparations for this first regional conference. Quality experts, consultants, coordinators, directors and supervisors from all over the Middle East and the Gulf region will attend the conference to discuss quality added value and quality circles mechanisms. They will also discuss various ways to spread knowledge among decision makers in agencies, companies and organizations to the best utilization of creative administrative methods and professional and ideal approaches provided by quality standards.

The conference will also deal with initiatives made by a number of international companies and the various visions and methods adopted by them to achieve the strength and integration of collective thinking and its ability to improve company performance to reach higher standards. These initiatives were not limited to the contribution in identifying impediments and obstacles facing daily operation, but also to find the most appropriate solutions and follow them up in scientific manner and proper thinking to motivate the entire workforce to work hard and be creative in corporate and smaller unit levels and study its strength potential to capitalize on it.

Dr. Doaa Fares, Etisalat Academy General Manager, said that this conference will witness a number of discussions and panels organized by the world's quality leaders to reach comprehensive recommendations to address working aspects with special emphasis on technical and technological aspect as it represent emerging challenges and future opportunities on both local and regional levels and also to support e-government operations and its promising future.

For the first time in the region, the conference will discuss the latest quality measures and criteria applications in e-government and their security to support their continuity, their application productivity along with statistical performance forecast through various statistical methods and samples which reflect success rates and indicate any shortcomings to be rectified as soon as they occur.

Moreover, the conference will also deal with quality standards used in modern software, databases and IT security. Specialized workshops will take place prior and after the conference in addition to an exhibition on quality systems and solutions, its various consultant services and the state-of-the-art scientific and applied innovations which has been recently adopted and approved by the British Quality Circles & Mechanisms Council.
