Club Car's ultimate car, the Precedent, makes its debut in Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 02 - 2004 at 15:27
- PRESS RELEASE
Club Car's first totally redesigned car in 20 years has made its debut in Dubai this month, with the arrival of the Precedent at Hydroturf International's showroom in Al Quoz.
According to Geoff Gladstone, General Manager Club Car Middle East, "this is the first total revamp on a clean sheet of paper of a Club Car in 20 years and the result is spectacular. Club Car tested 500 prototypes which were sent to golf courses around the world and were tested for performance and durability. It passed every single test Club Car designed it for."
"Club Car's aim was to build a stronger, more intelligent, more agile and a more comfortable car - all critical features to meet every golfer's requirements of a pleasurable experience on the course," added Gladstone.
"The Precedent has 40% fewer parts which means less maintenance, and is the first car to have a 4 battery, 48 volt power plant, which makes it more efficient to run," he explained. "It is lightweight with the tightest turning circle and has an intelligent 'IQ' Drive, which means one can customize the car to fit the surroundings."
Hydroturf International made sure that the first two Precedents arrived in Dubai in time for the Desert Classic. The Precedent was made available to Rod Bogg, Chairman of the Desert Classic and other members of the Desert Classic Committee to use.
Mr Bogg comments, "Our first impressions of the Precedent are very positive. It is more comfortable, more maneuverable and very user friendly. Just as important for us, is it's lighter weight, which should make it less wearing on the golf course." He went on to say "Add to that it's new sleek look - I definitely think Club Car have come up with a model that will be a sure fire winner.
