- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 02 - 2004 at 16:17
- PRESS RELEASE
The region's leading 'Converging Communications' conference and exhibition, MECT 2004, is primed to take place from May 30 - 31 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and show organisers INSIGHTS has decided to reward its customers by allowing them to benefit from attendance at the main conference at no charge.
The main conference on May 30 - 31 will follow its proven format of covering key, generic concepts on the first day, and then dividing into separate enterprise and service provider tracks devoted to those particular market segments. Along the way separate breakout sessions will cater for the interests of niche subjects.
Topics set to be included in the Main Conference include the benefits of "open" telecom systems, choosing between communications protocols,
migrating from a traditional to an IP-based telephone systems, internet telephony implementations, next generation network migration strategies, building a voice portal, developing a contact centre, taking advantage of speech recognition, deploying wireless systems and generating profit from presence and instant messaging solutions.
Voice specialist Intervoice is set to deliver the keynote on open telecom standards whilst Intel will be covering how to take a building block approach to building communications solutions. Intel, a perennial MECT participant, will also be running its special annual Telecoms Opportunity day on May 31, a prime opportunity for the region's resellers and systems integrators to get up to speed on the latest communications marketing and technical issues.
The free-to-attend MECT 2004 Exhibition commences Sunday May 30 at 10.00 am and is open until 6.00 pm, repeated on May 31.
