London based Dubai Shows Ltd., launched this new event last year, aimed at informing & entertaining expats living and working in the UAE. Mike Bridge the event's organizer said, 'The reaction from exhibitors and visitors alike after our first show held at the Emirates Towers was very positive. However we needed a lot more space to accommodate all the exhibitors requiring both indoor and outdoor display areas. Therefore, after talking to all the main venues in Dubai, we decided that Nad Al Sheba offered us the perfect facilities to expand The 2nd Expat Show and offered us a permanent home!'
The show will take place in the main car park adjacent to the grandstands and will include 3000m2 of air-conditioned marquees for the exhibition plus space for smaller marquees for the entertainment, fashion shows and children's crèche.
The 2nd Expat Show is being sponsored by the Financial Times' FT Expat Magazine, Dubai FM and What's On Magazine. Once again Connector Magazine will be organizing their popular information village, enabling local services to participate.
Exhibitors will cover finance, travel, local residential real estate, healthcare, automobiles, education, international property retailers, furniture, sports, club and charities, hotels, restaurants, pensions and government departments.
'We are delighted to be working with the team at Nad Al Sheba Club who have excellent facilities to offer the Expat Show visitors a superb day out! The club's annual open day which attracts over 3,000 people will be held on Friday, October 25th 2002 making a visit to our show even more appealing.' said Mike Bridge.
Expat Show moves to larger venue
Organizers of The Expat Show announced this week that their 2nd show will be moving to Nad Al Sheba Club in Dubai and will be held on October 24th - 26th 2002.
