Feedback from owners of Acer mobile products, who have used the personalized service, is extremely positive. Survey results show that more than 90 percent of people that have used the service were "very satisfied" with the value-added support.
"When the 'Collect and Drop' service was launched a year ago, Acer's primary aim was to provide its mobile technology customers in the UAE with the highest level of support," said Krishna Murthy, general manager, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd.
"Now one year later, we are thrilled to announce that Acer has positioned itself ahead of the competition in the market because it offers the highest level of service available in the market," said Murthy.
Acer launched the personalized Collect and Drop service a year ago because it recognized that people in the UAE were leading busy lives and did not always have the time they needed to attend to errands such as getting their notebooks fixed.
"The customized service that we offer through the call centre allows customers who have a problem with an Acer Mobile product to dial our call center and give their address details - the rest is up to us. The Acer Mobile product is collected, it is taken to our facility to be fixed, and then it is delivered back to the customer," said Murthy.
"The service has been popular with business people who own Acer mobile products and of course, the entire project has been a success thanks to the dedication and professional nature of the entire TCS team who handle the pick-up and delivery of Acer products," added Murthy.
Since the service was introduced, Acer has worked in partnership with TCS, an express courier company, on the project. "We congratulate the team at Acer for providing a market-leading service and we are proud to be part of this project. Because at TCS we pride ourselves on our rapid service, we have been able to provide Acer and its customers prompt pick-up and delivery of their mobile products," said Shariq Mahmood, general manager, TCS Express Worldwide.
