- PRESS RELEASE
RCI Middle East participation in Arab Travel Market (ATM) 2004, which is taking place in Dubai, has opened up talks on a number of new timeshare developments within the region, announced Yehia El Nowaiem, General Manager of RCI Middle East.
"ATM has proved to be an ideal platform for us to interact with potential developers within the region that have identified the value of the timeshare industry and its potential in the Middle East," stated El Nowaiem. "The response we have seen so far has been great, as it lead to a number of serious talks on the development of additional timeshare properties within Dubai, to add to the IFA Hotels and Resorts project that we had announced recently on The Jumeirah Palm."
The talks are not only focused on Dubai, but the region as a whole. "We are noticing keen interest from other parts of the region, as some of the talks we are having are with developers from different parts of the Middle East. Once we finalize an agreement, we will announce the location of the property," he further added.
Vacation Ownership is today the fastest growing segment of the travel and tourism industry with a growth rate that is twice the industry growth. With over 3,700 resorts in 100 countries and over 3 million member families, RCI is the undisputed world leader in the vacation ownership industry. "ATM has also helped us attract RCI Community members, which were pleased with the opportunity of direct interaction through our ATM presence," concluded El-Noawiem.
