The company also showcased its expanded family of multifunction products addressing the UAE market.

Speaking at the 'start-to-finish event', Mr. Ayman Mattar, Marketing Manager, Xerox Emirates stated that, "The event is called "Start to Finish", because from the beginning to the end of your working day, or the start to finish of your major projects, we have the products, services and solutions that can make the difference. The office market is key to our over all strategy, and Xerox has invested more than $1.9 billion across the world in research and development for office platforms over the past five years."

"The aim of our event is to share some of our expertise in products, services and solutions to enable people do great work with documents and address the three big business challenges," added Mr. Mattar.

Research on 'importance of colour' has shown that invoices leveraging colour to highlight dates and due amounts are 33 per cent more likely to be paid on time. In addition, sales professionals are 88 per cent more likely to convert sale if their collateral includes colour. Colour documents can help you win more business, build customer loyalty and improve communications.

"There has never been a better time to start using colour, with Xerox's colour enabled strategy. First, we offer the best value colour printers in the market with the Phasers 6100, 6250 and the solid-ink 8400. Second, the entry-level colour multi-function WorkCentre M24 has appealed to the general office market. Third, the most productive multi-function system consumers can buy is the Xerox WorkCentre Pro, which has two colour versions, the 32 and the 40, capable of copying, scanning, printing, faxing and e-mailing."

"The other key challenges faced by the organisations are 'reduction of costs' and 'improving the employee productivity'. Reducing and controlling operating costs is a constant requirement in almost all organisations. On an average most companies spend between 5 and 15 per cent of their revenues on documents (source: Reinvent, rethink, and redefine Xerox 2003). An organisation can make significant savings in this area by deploying suitable products from Xerox depending on specific requirements," commented Mr. Mattar.

"Furthermore, people spend too long handling documents, rather than getting on with their actual jobs. As per a survey in Europe, almost one in five of directors spent at least 60 per cent of the working day simply dealing with documents (source: "Documents, people and technology, a European perspective"). One way to increase productivity is to choose products that will manage documents more efficiently and ensure that employees spend less time producing and handling paper documents," added Mr. Mattar.

The company showcased the latest range of products, and also document management systems at the start-to-finish roadshow. These digital copiers and office multifunction systems belong to one of the three families - CopyCentre, WorkCentre or WorkCentre Pro.

"Our vision is to help customers do great work in offices everywhere - in companies of all sizes. This means helping our customers to focus on their core competence and build value for their enterprise," said Mr. Mattar. "We will build on our experience and technology to bring new power, new value and new choices to our customers."
