Al-Emarat Sports World to be set up in Dubailand with first ever world class drag racing facility

The latest addition to Dubailand is the first class Al-Emarat Sports World that will encompass some of the world's top sports and entertainment in a leisure filled project that will be located in the Sports World of Dubailand.
The massive 2 billion square feet and AED 18 billion generating Dubailand has been set up by the Dubai Tourism Development Company and promoted by Dubai Development and Investment Authority.
Al-Emarat Sports World is being promoted by two prominent UAE National private entrepreneurs- Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Dubai based Liberty Investment Company (L.L.C) and Mohammed Omar Al Majid, former Vice Chairman of UAE Motor Sports Federation and Founder of UAE Rally Championship. The duos seek to maximize what they perceive as a highly potential investment opportunity.
Sheikh Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Qassimi, said they welcomed the opportunity to be part of the growth of Dubailand. "We have been looking at Dubailand since it was first announced and have examined how we could possibly join. We believe that Al-Emarat Sports World is the answer. We are committed to this project, and we have acted upon this commitment by signing the deal" Sheikh Khalid said.
"These respected entrepreneurs see the business potential of Dubailand. They are committed, not out of sentiment, but with a view of the potential returns that will be generated from Al-Emarat Sports World" said Salem Bin Dasmal, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Tourism Development Company.
"We welcome the investors to Dubailand. As always the relationship between government and private sectors are highly beneficial and continue to grow and generate outstanding projects and achievements. Al-Emarat Sports World is an example of that kind of cooperation," Bin Dasmal said.
Mohammed Omar Al Majid, also representing the investor group, pointed out that Al-Emarat Sports World will complement other developments in the Sports World of Dubailand.
"The facilities that Al-Emarat Sports World will offer are distinctive and will add value to internationally recognized sporting events that will be taking place in Dubailand," Al Majid stressed.
Both the promoters pointed out that Al-Emarat Sports World offers unique state-of-the-art facilities that will elevate it to the top of the regional league. Some of the main components of Al-Emarat Sports World will include Enclosed Multipurpose Arena for sports games, art gallery, special events and exhibitions, horse beauty show, motorbike and bicycle trails and different sport shows.
The project will also include a Shooting Complex that will host different competitions like skeet competitions and indoor shooting activities. It will also include a facility that will comprise of hoarse stables and a Riding School Academy as well as a world-class Drag & Motor Complex .
The project will include other sporting facilities like squash, volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis, snooker & billiards, bowling and sports museum.
Finally, Al-Emarat Sports World will also offer comprehensive facilities and support services including a shopping mall, and a hotel.
The entire development will span over an area of 1.5 million square feet, they added. "As you can see, the facility that we plan to construct at Dubailand is unlike any other facility this region has witnessed. Our aim is to make a significant contribution to the enhancement and progress of sports in the region. Al-Emarat Sports World will strive to promote a variety of sporting activities for the whole family to enjoy. We are sure that the synergies created by Al-Emarat Sports World and other facilities in the sprawling Dubailand, will be unparalleled," Sheikh Khalid said.
