- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 16 - 2004 at 08:46
- PRESS RELEASE
SingaporeMedicine, a multi-agency government initiative formed to develop and promote Singapore's healthcare services, will embark on its first-ever roadshow across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain during May 20-27, 2004.
During the week-long roadshow, medical professionals across the UAE and Bahrain will have an opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge with medical specialists and representatives from Singapore's key healthcare organisations, such as Parkway Group Healthcare, the National Healthcare Group, the Singhealth Group, and Raffles Hospital.
"We will be leading a delegation of distinguished medical specialists and healthcare representatives to participate in a symposium in Dubai, and to present a series of medical updates based on the Singapore experience to the medical community in the UAE and Bahrain," added Dr. CHAN.
It is hoped that through the roadshow programmes, the medical community in the UAE and Bahrain will become more aware of the world-class healthcare facilities and expertise available in Singapore.
Each year, more than 200,000 people from around the world, including an increasing number from the Middle East, travel to multi-cultural and multilingual Singapore to take advantage of these healthcare facilities and medical expertise.
With programme themes such as Virtual Reality for Skills Training in Medicine; Advances in Oncology and Cardiology; and Morbidity of Obesity, the upcoming roadshow promises a slew of highly informative sessions at its various venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
