Innovative Spanish design featured at Spanish Pavilion during Office 2004

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, May 18 - 2004 at 11:20
  • PRESS RELEASE

One of the companies showcasing their products for the first time, are Vilagrasa of Spain, taking part at Office 2004 as part of the Spanish Pavilion, set up by the Spanish embassy to introduce their country's innovative design houses to the Middle East.

110 Spanish trade delegates visited Spanish Pavilion with an interest in participating in next year's exhibition.

Established in 1956, Vilagrasa have maintained a constant concern and dedication for people and their environment. The company's aim is to have their designs focus on responding to their users and uses, whatever the environment for which they are developed; public or private. Vilagrasa's designs offer products with their own strong sense of identity, making not only a strong design statement with their beauty, but also offering its user a high quality, functional and practical product.

Vilagrasa's designers believe that design must be a way to interrelate architecture and people, and in this sense, their products contribute to converting an office building into a place that is more human, not just a set of walls, furniture and machines.

Kim Willis of DMG World Media Dubai said, "We are very pleased with the initiative of various embassies to showcase some of their country's top design firms in a national pavilion. This initiative allows newcomers to the Middle East like Vilagrasa to get acquainted with the local market, and hopefully their participation in Office 2004 will inspire these companies to view the Middle East and in particular Dubai, as a wonderful new opportunity to sell their products."

Some of the products featured at Office 2004 include Mercuri; a collection of standing, aluminium wastepaper baskets for offices and public places, Bambu; a hanged display in aluminium, Fusta; a wooden office set for executive desks, Jupiter; a series of high capacity bins in stainless steel for use in public and Pinca; an adjustable aluminium coat hanger for office screen panels.

Cutting edge office furniture, office interiors, interior contractors and facilities management companies are displaying their latest wares to a receptive audience and potential customers from the facility and premises, office, conference and hotel sectors as well as architects, designers and trade specifiers and buyers, distributors, retailers and agents.

Free daily seminars are once again offered and hosted by CitySpace, the region's leading workplace space solutions provider; the seminars will cover numerous key topics. Strategies, initiative and benefits will also be debated; ensuring attendees are kept up to date on all cutting edge developments in workplace dynamics.

The exhibition is open daily to all trade visitors from 17th - 19th May 2004 from 11am to 7pm, and runs alongside the Hotel Show.
