Onity unveils stylish hotel locking system

A special preview of the new OS 'elite' series was held at the Fairmont Hotel proving that even locks can be a work of art. The new lock is the result of years of worldwide research to determine what guests, hoteliers, and designers need from electronic locking-systems.

Designed for the times, the new OS Electronic Lock has been developed using the "Chameleon Concept", meaning it can adapt to blend with any environment whether it is new construction or retrofit and can also accommodate any design preference.

Hoteliers using this new lock can also choose from a wide range of handle designs owing to an exclusive agreement with the prestigious Italian design house, Valli & Valli.

One unique feature of the new lock is a patented Groove and Arrow concept, which virtually eliminates human error with the insertion process. A fool-proof "Groove and Arrow" icon on the card reader and repeated on the keycard enables guests to line up the grooves and arrows to insert the keycard the correct way each time.
