- PRESS RELEASE
Alfred Dunhill Ltd, who own dunhill, the original English luxury brand for men, has announced it would be pursuing an expansion strategy in the Middle East with the aim of further enhancing its visibility in key markets in the region, starting with its strategic partnership with the Rivoli Group in the United Arab Emirates.
As one of the most recognised and stylish luxury brands in the world, dunhill is respected for its quality, consistency and heritage. The company today is focused on providing superior luxury accessories, designed in an English style, for sophisticated, affluent men all over the world. Dunhill markets its luxury products through a global network of over 160 stores and 1,500 authorised dealers located in 50 countries, and is counting on the extensive retail experience of the Dubai-based Rivoli Group - one of the largest importers and retailers of luxury brands in the region - to help them make a strong impact on the Middle East market.
In the UAE, dunhill stores are located at Deira City Centre and the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai and at the Abu Dhabi Mall. Dunhill will also be opening another trendy red concept showroom in the extension of the BurJuman Centre.
Mr. Simon Critchell, who is making his maiden visit to the Middle East, said: "As the leader in luxury products for men, dunhill plans to expand further in this region in line with our growth strategy in international markets. The UAE, which has established itself as the regional trade and tourism hub, will be the gateway to dunhill's entry into new markets in this part of the world."
"We are confident that with the support of the Rivoli Group, and their experience in retailing luxury brands, dunhill will be able to enhance their presence and become an even more popular icon in the men's luxury brand sector in this region", he added.
Mr. Ramesh Prabhakar, Managing Partner of the Rivoli Group, said: "We are honoured to be associated with a world-class brand like dunhill. The Rivoli Group has been keen to partner well-established brands with superior reputation, and this is widely reflected in the performance of dunhill who, like us, are committed to business excellence. Dunhill has set the standards in their sector from day one with innovative products of the highest quality. We will provide our whole-hearted support to promoting their unique products which remain an essential part of stylish living".
During the press conference, the new Sidecar collection was presented. True to the philosophy of their famous founder, dunhill is pleased to introduce this range of luxurious Sidecar accessories inspired by the inventive yet luxurious sidecars of the brand's early years. A collection of new exquisite writing instruments which married elegant styling with the highest standards of construction was unveiled alongside some unique chocolate brown leather goods. The Sidecar collection is best described as smart, modern and always correct for business.
Mr. Sany Nahhas, Area Manager, Middle East for Alfred Dunhill Ltd, said: "Each dunhill fountain pen is fitted with an 18-carat gold nib, which is individually cut by expert craftsmen, because of which these instruments bring with them a lifetime of writing pleasure. The Sidecar collection also has a limited edition piece, the Sidecar Limousette, which is limited to only 1893 pieces, to celebrate the year Alfred Dunhill founded his business."
Inspired by the shape of dunhill's original Torpedo, a Sidecar writing instrument ensures graceful movement across the page. Crafted from a sophisticated glossy black resin, finished with polished palladium and crowned with a dunhill 'd', the Sidecar is a timeless classic, showcasing the best in fashionable designs and fine craftsmanship.
