A successful organisation embraces change collectively. In the demanding world of logistics this is often easier said than done. This seminar is designed to raise the level of discussion to a practical plane, uncovering the consequences emerging trends bring to your organisation.

"Logistics Leadership is not only a big "L" at the hierarchy a dynamic organizatiion but it also found as a small "l" if the employees are empowered to fulfill their potential through serious a commitment towards professional development. A commitment from the CEO to the employees at the front line of logistics business will release the power for true leadership in the region." Philbhert Suresh, CKO-TLC

The common strategies in the seminar will address profitable revenue growth and lowering business cost structure. Examples of strategies address decreasing operating costs, increasing key customer retention, increasing customer value through product enhancement, reducing cycle time of manufacturing or service delivery, leveraging economies of scale, etc.

In learning about the bolts and nuts of Six Sigma strategy, the seminar will also provide the ability to understand that Six Sigma eliminates cost and increases value like few other process improvement methodologies have, in part because it forces quantitative measurements on the results of organizational activities. It has been utilized in manufacturing as well as in service and other non-manufacturing environments. It is successful because non-value added expenses often represent up to 50% of an organizations cost structure, thus providing savvy leadership a veritable goldmine of quantifiable opportunity.

The challenges will be presented in terms of new technology, changing policy at the national and global level and the need for heightened security post September 11. Experts in their field, sharing best practices and advice on their implementation and impact, will present each of these challenges in modular form. What makes the seminar unique is that each challenge will be matched with learning opportunities and practical applications for your company. This will be achieved through a modular step-by-step approach to a better understanding on how effective leadership skills, when applied, lead to better performance.

The modular approach consists of six topics ranging from understanding resistance to change and responding effectively, to developing and building dynamic teams. Therefore, participants will not only take away with them a better understanding of emerging trends across their industry but practical steps to respond to their impact on their own organization. "Logistics leadership and change management requires the ability to identify the vectors of logistics change and then the ability to propose and operationalize initiatives to profit from being the first to respond."
