'Emaar is driven by committed people who understand the expectations and requirements of its diverse customers. We have turned into reality the company's vision of 'Shaping the future. Today' through world-class lifestyle communities that have revolutionised real estate development in the region and worldwide,' said Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Chairman, Emaar Properties. 'The most exceptional testimonial to the Emaar team's collective effort is the Burj Dubai Development which epitomises the height of our ambition and the breadth of our imagination,' he continued.
Alabbar was speaking during a tour of the Burj Dubai Development site, which has become a beehive of construction activity. He was joined on the tour by the entire staff of Emaar Properties and its subsidiaries including Amlak Finance, Dubai Bank, Emrill and Sahm Technologies.
Emaar is creating a truly international landmark with the Burj Dubai Development, the city within a city, which will create Dubai's new elegant downtown area. The 500-acre Development will comprise the Burj Dubai, the Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping and entertainment complex, an Old Town, Office Park and a residential complex.
'Since Emaar's inception in 1997, we have left an indelible mark on the skyline of Dubai with our diverse offer of luxurious city apartments, exclusive golf villas and world-class waterfront developments. With the Burj Dubai Development, we will now be creating a global architectural landmark which will set standards for quality development worldwide, while creating Dubai's new elegant downtown area,' concluded Alabbar.
The Burj Dubai is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), with Turner Construction as the project's construction managers.
