IIR presents international experts and regional industry leaders to highlight the strategic role of procurement
- Saudi Arabia: Sunday, May 23 - 2004 at 14:46
- PRESS RELEASE
At the Saudi Strategic Purchasing and Supply Forum, leading international experts and Middle East based industry leaders will discuss the strategic role of purchasing and supply within an organisation while focusing on global best practices, regional issues and current market trends.
The forum has been organised in recognition of the purchasing and supply function as being a critical business field that has immeasurable impact on a company's performance. Steadily, this area is becoming more technical and sophisticated, incorporating processes and technologies to increase effectiveness and quality delivery.
At present, companies are heavily dependant on the purchasing and supply function to manage crucial areas such as cost control, risk mitigation, quality of product and service delivery, out-sourcing and inventory. Companies that do not treat this function as a strategic commercial enabler are likely to expose themselves to severe financial and market share losses.
This five-day event will include three separately bookable workshops presented by leading purchasing and supply experts: 1. Successful Cost Reduction Techniques for Purchasing and Supply; 2. Successfully Leading Change in Procurement; 3. A Practical Guide to Successfully Automating the Procurement Process.
