Sharjah rents surge 20pc

Sharjah apartment rents are up by 20 per cent in the past few months and are now becoming as expensive as Dubai, agents told Gulf News. They said landlords decide the rents and not agents, and they have decided to put them up. But landlords are not allowed to hike rents within three years unless tenants break their agreement.
