The event, which includes a one-day conference featuring a number of leading international panelists, is believed to be the Middle East's only specialized professional forum for the selection and pre-qualification of suppliers and contractors for the region's airport development programmes.

"In recent years, airports have placed increasing importance on new technologies, said Georges Hannouche, CEO of DPS. "The security, safety and capacity of the airspace in the twenty-first century demands that the latest technology be deployed effectively in airports across the world."

Bayanat-DPS, one of the oldest and most prestigious IT companies in the UAE, is again taking part in the Airport Build and Supply exhibition, with one of the largest stands at the event.

The company - which counts several of the region's airports as existing customers - will highlight solutions across the following advanced aviation technology solutions: communication, navigation, air traffic management (CNS/ATM); Multistatic Dependant Surveillance (MDS); airfield lighting monitoring and air traffic control visualization solutions.

"Any person traveling through today's regional airports will notice the benefits that innovative technologies bring to airport operations," added Hannouche. "In fact, many of the region's airports are now functioning far more efficiently than similar sized facilities in Europe and North America, and we believe that this increased operating efficiency is almost entirely due to advanced technology."

In the UAE alone, Bayanat-DPS has provided the Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujeirah airports with solutions from flight information display, instrument landing systems, radars and simulators.

"As the size and importance of the Middle East region continues to climb, the greater the dependence, and strain, there will be on its airports. Bayanat-DPS is already engaged in preparing its customers for the coming challenge," concluded Hannouche.

Trade visitors to the 2004 Airport Build and Supply Exhibition can find Bayanat-DPS, along with its partners, Park Air Systems, Sensis Corporation, Barco, and Tailor Made Systems, at Airport Expo Dubai, stand number C2.
