Dhs3.2 million deal at Automechanica Gulf
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, May 24 - 2004 at 15:37
- PRESS RELEASE
Comes Axles Middle East LLC, concluded the biggest single deal worth Dhs3.2 million with Al Shahina Vehicle Body Manufacturers for 100 Axles for the Kuwaiti market at the Automechanica Gulf 2004 Trade Show yesterday.
Speaking on behalf of Comes Axels ME, managing director Vinent Fernandez said that the Italian manufactured Axels stand above the European competition as they are made of one piece. "All other European made axels are made of three parts: the pipe and two spindles which are friction welded.
"We have been in Dubai for the past year as sole distributors of the Comes Axels in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. We have, in the past eight months, sold over 400 units and our Saudi counterpart sells on average 1,200 per year," Fernandez said.
"We have been in negotiations with Al Shahina for a while now, but as soon as they came to the show and saw our Axels, the deal was done," Fernandez said.
This show has also led to various other leads for Comes Middle East and Fernandez is very pleased with the leads this show has generated. "This show has been excellent for us and we are very pleased with the quality of the visitors and leads we got.
