The event will take place at La Marina Joseph Khoury in Dbayeh from May 26-30.

Senior officials from the company will also attend the International Conference on Marinas and Seafront Development in the Middle East which will take place concurrently.

Said Mansour Al Othaimin, Executive Director, Emaar Properties: "Waterfront living has emerged a popular choice for investors who prefer the tranquillity of a home overlooking the waters offering picturesque views and away from the hustle bustle of city life. Hailed as Middle East's answer to the French Riviera, the Dubai Marina development has attracted tremendous response both regional and global investors, furthering the growth of Dubai as a leading lifestyle destination."

"As the region's premier property development company, it is imperative that Emaar Properties participates in this exclusive marine show and we look forward to showcasing our landmark Dubai Marina development to a prestigious international audience, he said.

According to industry sources, private sector development in the Middle East marine industry, estimated to be around US$ 20b, is at an all time high with a surge in marina, resort and other waterfront developments. Major projects are currently underway in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait in response to a growing demand for boating lifestyles and water sports among regional and global investors.

Visitors to the Emaar pavilion can view first hand the unique waterfront lifestyle on offer at the Dubai Marina. The internationally acclaimed project comprises residential apartment towers and luxurious villas that have been created around a 3.5km water channel. It is the region's first 'intelligent city' set in stunning surroundings including an impressive water body, an uninterrupted promenade and landscaped parks.

Adding to the line up of amenities at the Dubai Marina, Emaar will soon be launching the Marina Walk, an exclusive boulevard of multi-cuisine fine dining restaurants and coffee shops.

"This show will provide us with a good opportunity to expose the regional market to Emaar's master planned lifestyle communities offering world class facilities. At the same time, the conference will enable us to meet with marine industry experts and decision makers and exchange vital know-how on all aspects of waterfront development and technologies," continued Al Othaimin.

Beirut Boat 2004 is organised by Messe Dusseldorf, organiser of the world's largest boat and water sports trade fair (BootDusseldorf) in conjunction with international Fairs and Promotions (IFP)), the Middle East's largest trade fair organiser. In addition to an extensive display of motorboats, sail boats, yachts and super yachts, visitors will also be treated to an on-land display of marine equipment, engines, accessories and a wide range of water sport gear.
