Abu Dhabi National Hotels appoints new Al Diar Sands Hotel general manager

A German/Lebanese national, Mr. Chehimi will be an asset to the Sands Hotel and work on developing and improving the hotel operations, and its competitiveness with the top hotels in the region.

Mr. Chehimi boasts 18 years' experience in the hotel industry in Germany. His career path includes stints with leading international hotel chains such as Marriott, Movenpick, Canadian Pacific, Maritime and Sheraton.

The Sands hotel makes up part of Al Diar Hotels, a division of Abu Dhabi National Hotels, which manages 10 hotels and resorts in the UAE capital and Fujairah.

Commenting on his new appointment, Hussein said: 'I am very excited to be taking on this new role, especially at a time when the hospitality industry in the Middle East is growing so quickly and becoming increasingly dynamic. My goal is to ensure the ongoing success of the Al Diar Sands Hotel and enhance its good reputation.'

He added: 'The Sands Hotel is one of the top five-star hotels in Abu Dhabi, with 253 beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service and great dining. I'm delighted to join such a property and looking forward to working with the entire team.'
