New direct Muscat service is key piece in network jigsaw, says Gulf Air CEO
- Oman: Wednesday, May 26 - 2004 at 14:05
- PRESS RELEASE
Gulf Air President and Chief Executive James Hogan today announced a significant addition to the Gulf Air network.
"The overriding premis of Gulf Air's network development is to get our customers where they want to be, when they want to be there. That's not rocket science. We listened to our customers, they told us what they wanted, and we've delivered it. They wanted a direct London to Muscat route, and we're about to launch it."
"Muscat is a fast growing tourist destination with matched focus on developing business. We see enormous potential for both leisure and business traveller growth to the city in the next 12 -18 months. We would be foolish not to be a part of it," he said.
The introduction of the Muscat route means that Gulf Air becomes the largest provider of direct services from London Heathrow to the Gulf and from 21 June the airline will be the first and only airline to operate a daily non-stop service to Oman from London/Europe.
The new service brings to 34 the number of Gulf Air flights between the Gulf and London each week.
