Saudi Arabia came out top out of 43 countries in the Dutch-owned integrator's India Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region in statistics compiled for the first quarter of 2004.

SAB/TNT's research also reveals that the Premium Service grew 30 per cent in customer numbers in 2003 compared to 2002. The premium services are available for documents to all major cities globally.

"All SAB/TNT staff in Saudi Arabia can take a collective bow," says Saudi Arabia and Gulf Managing Director, Mark Pell.

"It's a tremendous accolade for all concerned, especially as the IMEA region comprises such a large area with so many countries. The big winners in this, of course, are the Premium Service customers in the Kingdom."

Pell says the new state-of-the-art centralised customer call centre operating out of SAB/TNT's Saudi Arabian headquarters here is a major factor in the surge of success as is the recruitment of many talented staff, particularly Saudi nationals.

"All the sales calls go through the 800244222 number and that has provided central focus. And our highly-skilled multi-lingual staff are giving tremendous service to the customers in the Kingdom. We have invested in our people and our state-of-the-art technology and the market could not be more receptive."

SAB/TNT's Premium Service guarantees delivery by either 9am, noon or priority.

"This is the service required when it needs to be fast and ultra-efficient and more and more people in Saudi Arabia are turning to SAB/TNT for it. Premium is primarily a document service and it isn't industry specific -it's equally popular in Dhahran, Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah.

"These latest documented successes again illustrate SAB/TNT's commitment to the market in Saudi Arabia."
