VERITAS educates Middle East resellers in backup and storage solutions
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, May 29 - 2004 at 10:23
- PRESS RELEASE
The Middle East operations of VERITAS Software Corporation, the leading storage software provider, will host a roadshow in five cities across the region, where company experts will train resellers in the deployment and use of two key VERITAS solutions.
"These two solutions work to protect valuable information and maximize the efficient use of storage resources," said Katie Spurgeon, regional channel manager for VERITAS, Middle East. Backup Exec version 9.1, available in Windows and NetWare editions, provides automated protection of critical data on workstations and servers, while StorageCentral™ automatically controls Windows storage allocation, blocking inappropriate file types and recovering wasted disk space. "VERITAS is training resellers across the region to ensure that our customers derive maximum benefit from these sophisticated and cost-effective applications," she said.
VERITAS sales and technical training ensures that regional channel partners maximize all new business opportunities and are qualified and certified to provide full support when end users deploy VERITAS data protection products. The event is part of the company's continuing drive to boost knowledge about its products within the reseller community. It follows the highly successful VERITAS Vision Forum (the premier regional conference for storage management professionals), held on May 17 in Dubai.
The VERITAS Sales and Technical Roadshow will visit Beirut's Metropolitan Hotel on 1 June, the Dubai Knowledge Village on 2 June, the Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel on 6 June, Cairo's Conrad Hotel on 8 June and the Casablanca Sheraton on 10 June. Each seminar will be split into two sessions - sales and technical - to run simultaneously for three hours from 9.00 am.
