Samsung launches new family of high-end DVD recorders in Middle East

Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital convergence technology, today launched its new family of high-end DVD recorders for Middle East consumers.
"Samsung has always endeavoured to finding ways to enhance consumers' digital entertainment experience. To satisfy their digital aspirations we have introduced this unmatched offering for the first time in the Middle East. With the launch of our high-end DVD recorders, Samsung will now empower consumers with a whole new world of digital entertainment," said Mr. Ashraf Sajid, Sales and Marketing Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
The new family of DVD recorders allows users to record DVDs in 3 different formats, including DVD-RAM, a storage device recognized for its high reliability and powerful recording format capable of recording /erasing up to 10,000 times.
The Samsung new family of DVD recorders include the DVD-HR700. Equipped with single-touch recording functionality, it can record and play simultaneously, and also copy both ways between its DVD and HDD. Its features also include a DV input, progressive scan video output, 7 in 2 multi-flash interface card and easy editing functions to offer enhanced picture quality and a superior digital technology experience to consumers. Its mighty Hard Disk Drive (HDD) built-in recorder is capable of multi-format recording - DVD-RAM / -RW/ -R, and can record up to 160 hours of video in its 120GB HDD.
Along with multi-format recording capabilities and extending recoding hours, the other two DVD models, DVD-VR300 and DVD-R100, editing, browsing and recording functions are made much simpler. The two models allow users to record and play back simultaneously, DV input and progressive scan video output. While DVD-VR300 boasts of a built-in VCR player that allows consumers to not only play DVD and VHS but also copy both ways, the DVD-R100 definitely stands-out for its aesthetic value due to its 69mm slim body.
