- PRESS RELEASE
Clarendon Parker, the Dubai Internet City based regional HR and recruitment specialists, has opened its first office in Abu Dhabi, in a 50-50 strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi-based United Group International (UGI) to meet growing demand for professional recruitment and contract staffing services in the oil and gas industries.
"Since our move to Dubai Internet City, Clarendon Parker has gone from strength to strength. The opening of an office in Abu Dhabi will further consolidate our leading recruitment position in the region and partnering with UGI gives us excellent contacts on the ground in the local market."
Joint Managing Partner, Ahmed Al Yafei added, "This dramatically raises the UGI profile in the UAE, especially in the fast growing Energy Sector."
Nick Graham, who has been with Clarendon Parker for three years, has been put in charge of the UGI-Clarendon Parker joint venture office in the UAE capital. "The reaction from existing and potential clients to the opening of the office has been very positive," said Luby.
In addition to its offices in Dubai Internet City and Abu Dhabi, Clarendon Parker also has a full branch office in Bahrain and a representative office in Oman. "As we expand across the region, and we are looking at the opportunities in several Middle East countries, we will be able to utilise our experience in the oil and gas sectors to strengthen the HR and recruitment services we offer to clients," added Graham.
Clarendon Parker, which has dedicated teams devoted to market sectors, including IT, telecoms, finance, customer services, construction, as well as oil and gas, receives between 200 and 300 applications a day and is experiencing substantial growth in the demand for Arabic speaking professionals.
"Recruitment policies are now strongly focused on GCC nationals and Arab expatriates, mainly from the Levant and North Africa," said Luby. "At senior levels Arab expatriates are now being targeted more than any other cultural group and that demand is growing."
