- Saudi Arabia: Sunday, May 30 - 2004 at 13:31
- PRESS RELEASE
SAB/TNT Express' industry-first road haulage service in Saudi Arabia has grown 100 per cent since it was launched 18 months ago.
"We continue to emphasise that we are strengthening our services in the Kingdom any way we can. We have expanded out road network in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia has benefited a great deal."
The linchpin of the trucking network is the Economy Express service. Dubai is the hub of the Economy Express service in the Middle East with consignments flown in from all over the world.
"It's a service for consignments that might not be that urgent. The trucks roll out of Dubai each day and bring the consignments to us here in Saudi Arabia. Our competitors can't equal this service - it's one of the finest services that has been offered by our industry in the Middle East.
Pell adds that SAB/TNT customers are reaping the rewards of the new centralised call centre here which has streamlined the integrator's operations in the Kingdom.
"All sales now go through our 8002442222 number. We have also embarked on a major recruitment drive, especially among Saudi nationals. Our people are our greatest asset."
Kuwait joined the road-haulage network last month. Oman is scheduled to link up later this year.
