SabaFon selects Jinny Software to supply MMSC

SabaFon have announced their selection of Jinny Software Limited to supply a Multimedia Messaging Centre (MMSC).

Within the agreement, Sabafon will receive the latest release of Jinny's MMSC and WAP Gateway solutions.

Jinny Software already supplies SabaFon's SMSC and Welcome Roamer solutions, and recently delivered an SMSC capacity upgrade. Declan O'Mahony, Director and General Manager of Jinny Software, stated that "using Jinny to supply the core messaging platforms will bring many significant benefits to SabaFon. We are very pleased to be offered this opportunity to provide SabaFon with the platforms and solutions necessary to build a strong VAS offering".

Mohammad Kamal, Technical Director for SabaFon commented: "The decision to go with Jinny Software was based on the success of the SMSC project. MMS is an important next step in the development of our value added services portfolio and we have selected a proven supplier to deliver the platform".

SabaFon was the first operator to offer GSM services in Yemen, launching in February 2001. Over the past 3 years SabaFon has extended its network to cover all 20 governorates of Yemen and continues to strive to deliver world class services to its expanding customer base.
