TV premiere for new Showtime ART double act

Leading pay TV networks Showtime and Arab Radio & Television Network (ART) have announced today a strategic alliance to offer subscribers access to both networks in a single convenient transaction while ensuring they continue to grow their existing leads in subscriber numbers over their competitors.

Against a backdrop, which is arguably one of the most competitive in the Pay TV industry globally, the deal sets out to give broader access to audiences seeking the best in movies, sports, music, children's programming, and general entertainment by offering the most comprehensive programming packages in the Middle East. New subscribers can now enjoy one of Showtime's premium packages and ART's best Sports and Arabic entertainment channels with the added value and convenience of dealing with just one vendor and receiving a single set top box and one card.

The shared vision embraced by ART and Showtime is to offer subscribers choice, value and convenience. Subscribers are getting choice of quality programming that matches their viewing needs, unbeatable value and the convenience of one point of transaction regardless of network or package. Research has identified that the dynamic nature of this fast-evolving industry means many subscribers face a confusing mix of choices, and the options available do not necessarily reflect the viewing wish list of subscribers' changing lifestyles.
