The 70-year history of NUMOV has been marked by a wide range of information and consulting activities aimed at promoting German foreign trade and investment in the Near and Middle East countries.
The first chairman in 1934 was Dr. Hermann Reyss, the General Manager of Siemens in Berlin.
With its headquarters in Berlin and Hamburg, and various representative offices in other cities, the Association is today not only the oldest but also the leading organisation for promoting business relations between German and the Near and Middle East.
Over the past few years, the number of NUMOV members has risen steadily, putting it on a solid financial basis.
NUMOV celebrates 70th anniversary
German and Arab businessmen and politicians gathered in Berlin on June 1 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Germany's highly-regarded and influential Near and Middle East Association.
