7 Arab personalities receive annual hospitality awards at HORECA for outstanding performance

On May 27, the largest hospitality and food industries forum in the Middle East, HORECA, honored Arab and Lebanese key players in the hotel, restaurant and catering industries for their outstanding performance in the hospitality field.

Mr. Raymond Khalifeh, Consultant of Intercontinental Hotels in Egypt, received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Sarmad Zok, CEO of Kingdom Hotel Investment Group in Saudi Arabia, won the 2004 Hospitality Investor award. The 2004 Corporate Hotel Brand award went to Dr. Ghassan Aidi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cham Palaces and Hotels and Chairman of Royal Regency International Hotels.

Mr. Mohammad Najia, General Secretary of the Hotel Owner Association in Kuwait won the 2004 Special Award. The 2004 Lebanese Restaurant Franchise and the 2004 Promoter of Lebanese Food Products went respectively to Mr. Toufic Khoueiy, Owner and President of Kabab-Ji Restaurant and to Mr. Jamil Cheaib, President of Phoenicia-Adonis Group in Canada.

The 2004 Hospitality Annual Awards were followed by a cocktail at Biel hosted by the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel.
