DSS Grand Summer Raffle tickets evoke tremendous response

The Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) office has announced that the 'Grand Summer Raffle' tickets, which went on sale from June 1, 2004 at Emarat Service Stations in the Emirate, have evoked a tremendous response.

The raffle, the-first-of-its-kind promotion, is being organised by the DSS, in association with Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), the exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates, and Emarat for the seventh Dubai Summer Surprises, which is scheduled to commence on June 17, 2004.

A total of 5000 raffle draw tickets are on sale at the Emarat service stations in Dubai. Every week, 5000 tickets will be entered into the draw, the first of which will be held on June 18, 2004.

Ibrahim Saleh, Chief Operations Officer, DSS, said: "The tremendous response to the DSS 'Grand Summer Raffle' coupons has far exceeded our expectations, which epitomises the interest generated over the event among the residents of Dubai. It also reflects the heightened enthusiasm over the promotion."

Mr. Saleh expects that the response and the enthusiasm over the promotion will continue in the weeks to come, especially with the large number of visitors likely to descend on Dubai during the 10 weeks of fun, knowledge and entertainment extravaganza.

He assured that the 'Grand Summer Raffle' showcases an array of attractive offers for residents and visitors alike, unveiling a world of opportunities which are set to change many a lives.

The promotion includes 10 prizes, comprising 20 BMW cars and a large cash prize.

'The Grand Summer Raffle' coupons are available at 33 Emarat stations in Dubai and Deira City Centre. Among the Emarat Stations where the tickets are made available include Al Khubaisi, Hor Al Anz, Kuwait, Al Awir, Nad Al Hamar, Beach, Jebel Ali, Naharwan, Dana, Al Wejdan, Al Muhaisna, Taqniya, Muteena, Al Bustan, Al Madares, Galadari, Atrium/C-Store, Abu Khadra, Bridge, Karama, Al Wasl, Bin Hendi, Dubai Internet City, Al Rajhan, Al Raed, Garhoud, Safa Park, Lamtara, Chicago Beach, Al Dhiyafa, Al Adhed, Al Hassa, Umm Suqueim, and Jatabiyah (Ras Al Khor).

Dubai Summer Surprises 2004 will begin with Arts Surprises presented by Department of Naturalisation and Residency in Dubai from June 17-23, followed by Ice Surprises by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority from June 24-30, Sweets Surprises by Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing from July 1-7, Cartoon Surprises by Dubai Ports Authority from July 8-14, Flower Surprises by Dubai Municipality from July 15-21, Heritage Surprises by Dubai Customs from July 22-28, Adventure Surprises by Dubai Police from July 29-August 4, Knowledge Surprises by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry from August 5-11, Back-2-School Surprises by the Department of Economic Development from August 12-18 and ends with the Colour Surprises by the Department of Health and Medical Sciences from August 19- 27, 2004.
