HSBC Middle East delegation finds BFH adding value to Bahrain's business environment

In a significant endorsement of the USD 1.3 billion Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), HSBC Bank Middle East, the regional operations arm of the global financial and banking major, HSBC, today said that the upcoming global business and financial city was a salient development adding value to the Kingdom's investment-friendly business environment.
Mr. Green led a 15-member HSBC delegation including Board members, to BFH and the team included Mr. Saleh Al Kowary, CEO of HSBC Bahrain. The delegation was given a through briefing on the landmark development and the benefits the project will accrue to Bahrain as well as the region.
Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Esam Janahi, Chairman of BFH said: "We consider the visit of HSBC as a very positive sign and we are confident that the visit has the potential to further develop into fruitful relationship in the days to come."
Highlighting the advantages and value addition BFH can bring to investors, Mr. Janahi said the project was one-of-its-kind in the region and has been envisaged as a composite development spanning business, banking and the whole gamut of financial industry, media-related businesses and leisure.
"We are confident that BFH will attract sizeable investments from the region and across the world and will catapult Bahrain into the league of global economic centres such as London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo," he said.
Briefing the delegates on the unique architecture of BFH which will be a blend of modernity and tradition, Mr. Ahmed Janahi, Managing Director, Ahmed Janahi Architects, the lead consultants and architects of the project, said: "We are developing BFH as a distinctive development with an unrivalled architectural ambience that would be a benchmark in excellence."
He said that BFH will also have a highly-advanced IT infrastructure in line with modern business environments that would add value to the business proposition of the development.
Mr. Saleh Al Kowary, CEO of HSBC Bahrain said: "BFH is definitely an attractive investment proposition in the region with the kind of cutting-edge facilities it offers and HSBC will continue to look at the project with keenness."
