  • PRESS RELEASE

The luxurious Mercedes-Benz James Cook camper van has been voted first in Category C for vehicles costing over Euro 50,000 for the 12th time by readers of Europe's largest mobile home magazine.

"With more and more enquiries about this type of vehicle in the Middle East, it is pleasing to know that with 54.5 percent of all votes cast, the James Cook is still the market leader," said Roland Schneider, Sales and Marketing Director, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles, Middle East.

The James Cook is produced by the renowned DaimlerChrysler subsidiary Westfalia Van Conversion. Further evidence of the popularity of Mercedes-Benz mobile homes is provided by the success of the Mercedes-Benz Viano Marco Polo.

Just a short time after its market launch this compact camper van, based on the new Mercedes-Benz Viano, launched in the Middle East last year, was awarded third place in its category.
A substantial number of other mobile homes based on Mercedes-Benz vans also took places on the winner's rostrum with conversions of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter occupying the first seven places in their category.
