Business soars at Home Owner Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, June 06 - 2004 at 12:26
- PRESS RELEASE
In a week that saw property deals worth over Dhs 185 million being completed, exhibitors at Home Owner Dubai 2004 registered a massive increase in business from that conducted at the 2003 event.
Asked about the level of business being conducted at the event, O'Herlihy said, "Although sales figures remain confidential, many of the exhibitors at Home Owner Dubai have reported that they are doing extremely brisk business. Many have had to keep staff on their stands after the show has closed in order to deal with people wanting to sign contracts. The level of business being done on at the show simply shows that the requirement for property in Dubai continues to outstrip supply and demonstrates a strong demand for new areas by investors and that the volume of real estate investments is exceeding all expectations".
"Our market research company has reported that 98% of exhibitors have said that the event was successful or very successful," commented O'Herlihy. "They have also shown that we are seeing a growth in overseas visitors attending the event and that this is likely to be a continuing trend at next years show. As a result, we are taking Home Owner Dubai to Bahrain in September in order to promote Dubai's real estate sector to the wider GCC audience and to use the event as a vehicle to attract investors and real estate purchasers to Dubai. Bahrain is the first in a series of international events that we are running to develop Home Owner Dubai and those who participate in the event".
"Home Owner Dubai 2005 will be greatly enlarged as we move to the new Madinat Hotel Conference Centre. The size of the venue means that the event will almost treble in size" remarked O'Herlihy. "The show will take place 24-26 February 2005 and will have a wider exhibit profile in order to strengthen the event's objective of being a "One-Stop-Shop" for those who are investing in or purchasing real estate in Dubai".
