The company has stepped up its marketing and promotional efforts to raise regional awareness amongst users about its innovative products. And, as part of such efforts, the Glassmaker recently took an active part in premium industry exhibitions in Lebanon and Qatar.

'These two markets are critical growth markets. Lebanon's rebuilding is an on-going effort, and Lebanon is also a key platform from which to breach other markets in the Levant. Qatar, on the other hand - with its riches in natural gas - is on the verge of a massive Construction boom. We want to be well-prepared in both markets,' pointed out Jerry Dowling, General Manager of Emirates Glass.

The Dubai-based company took part in the recent Project Lebanon, which is one of the great showcases for building products in the Middle East. It takes place annually in May at the BIEL International Exhibition Center in Beirut.

'This year , Emirates Glass participated with a stand that was extremely well-attended over the 5-day show . The Lebanese construction market is currently doing well and there are undoubtedly great opportunities there for the EmiCool Sun and EmiCool Super E2 ranges of multifunctional Low-E glass types,' said Dowling.

He said EmiCool products offer superb qualities of solar control and thermal insulation and are perfectly suited to the climatic conditions of Lebanon. 'Already, Emirates Glass has supplied EmiCool for a number of notable projects and looks forward to further valuable orders from this important market,' he added.

Doha Symposium
Following on the great success of Project Lebanon, Emirates Glass then visited Qatar on Monday 31st May 2004 and - together with its strategic partner, Technical Glass and Aluminium - conducted a high-profile seminar in Doha, which was attended by over 140 professionals from the local architectural and construction fields.

'Without doubt, Emirates Glass is now in a good position to establish the EmiCool range of high performance sputter-coated glass as a brand-leader in the increasingly busy Qatar construction market,' said Dowling, basing his comments on the response from the delegates at the Doha meeting.

Airport Prospects
Continuing the very active programme of high-level exposure and intensive marketing effort, Emirates Glass will now participate with a 15 square metre display at the prestigious Airport Build & Supply Exhibition, which will take place at Airport Expo at Dubai Airport from Monday 7th June until Wednesday 9th June 2004.

'Throughout the entire Middle East and beyond, airport construction and expansion will make up a very substantial part of the regional construction industry's growth prospects. Airport buildings rely on huge glazed facades to provide light, solar control, acoustic insulation, thermal insulation and, of course, a view of the outside world around the clock,' Dowling pointed out.

Emirates Glass will display a range of EmiCool Sun and EmiCool Super E2 Low-E glass types, which offer airport designers optimum solutions for all of the above requirements as well as taking good care of the aesthetic design concept.

'This Airport Build & Supply Exhibition is a great opportunity for Emirates Glass to meet top-level officials from Departments of Civil Aviation from around the Region, as well as many other design-professionals who regard this as an important source of new product-knowledge,' Dowling pointed out.

'We are investing heavily and we are sure that our efforts will bear fruit. Our product speaks for itself in terms of its quality, effectiveness, durability and efficiency,' said the Emirates Glass General Manager.
