FedEx scores hat-trick for environmental awareness

FedEx Express, the world's largest express transportation company, has won the annual Dubai Cargo Village Environmental Awareness Award for the third consecutive year.
The participating companies were judged on their cleanliness, recycling and smoking policies and employee environmental awareness. FedEx won the award for the cleanliness of its offices and vehicles, effective recycling systems, a "No Smoking" policy and its active participation in environmental preservation activities.
"We are delighted to accept this award for the third year running," said Hamdi Osman, Regional Vice President, FedEx Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Africa. "Effective environmental management is a priority for everyone at FedEx throughout our operations, and we're proud that our staff's efforts in Dubai have been recognised in this way"
FedEx has helped to recycle a total of 365 tonnes of cartons and paper, 6.6 tonnes of aluminum cans, 19.3 tonnes of plastic, 539 toner cartridges and 4750 litres of Lube oil for recycling and safe disposal.
