PeopleSoft announces customer user group for the Middle East

Today at its Leadership Summit in Dubai, PeopleSoft Middle East (Nasdaq: PSFT) announced the formation of the Middle East User Group.
The Middle East User Group's first meeting, with an attendance of over 100 customers, was held at PeopleSoft's annual Leadership Summit, an exclusive thought leadership event that attracted executives from leading public and private sector organizations throughout the Middle East.
"User groups play a critical role in development of PeopleSoft solutions and provide an invaluable contribution in the refinement of existing products and deployment of new ones," said Jeffrey Read, Managing Director & Vice President, EMEA Sales Distribution Group, PeopleSoft.
"The Middle East User Group will provide customers with a unique forum to discuss their changing business requirements, enabling PeopleSoft to provide superior customer service and contribute to the ongoing development and Arabization of software solutions for this region," added Read
The Middle East User Group is one of 35 user groups that support PeopleSoft's more than 12,000 customers across a variety of manufacturing and service industries. PeopleSoft will provide active support for the Middle East User Group by sponsoring speakers, and attending appropriate sessions to gather feedback from customers.
"The User Groups are an important aspect of PeopleSoft's customer relations and provide us with valuable feedback on the products and services we offer," added Read. "In addition, this forum generates fantastic networking opportunities to share information between companies in comparative industries."
Decision-makers from the region's highest profile organizations attended the Leadership Summit, held today at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
This exclusive event provided executives with new insights and strategies for dealing with today's most pressing business challenges. Speakers at the Leadership Summit included Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, chief executive officer of Dubai Internet City and Guy Dubois, executive vice president, PeopleSoft, Europe Middle East and Africa.
