The largest and most varied collection of diaries available in the Kingdom of Bahrain was unveiled at a special launch event where guests of honour were the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and the Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bhaskar Kumar Mitra.
Some 150 invited guests were present for the unveiling of the exhibition of more than 200 different diaries, which is open until today.
The extensive range of products on display includes the world's most expensive diary in the world, costing an incredible BD 750 (USD 2000), which was unveiled by the undersecretary at the event.
Known as the 'Silver Oak Diary', it has a medieval flavour and is inlaid with an intricate pure silver design. The limited availability diary also comes complete with a matching pure silver bookmark.
The launch marks an agreement signed recently between Bahrain-based GMI and Srinivas Fine Arts (SFA), one of the world's largest producers of diaries and paper products. Bahrain based companies will now have access to a range of Nightingale brand diaries and other paper products specifically tailored for the needs of Middle Eastern clientele.
A full display of the product line can still be viewed at the Qurtoba Syndicate Room (no.3) in the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel until the end of today with staff available to answer any questions.
