LG Electronics launches unique TV refrigerator
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 09 - 2004 at 16:09
- PRESS RELEASE
Reflecting its pioneering work in home networking appliances, LG Electronics has unveiled a revolutionary TV refrigerator, which will soon go on sale in the Middle East.
"The TV refrigerator allows people to enjoy music, movies, satellite broadcasting and cable TV in the kitchen," said Mr K.H. Kim, President of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa. "Users also have the option to order food and groceries from home shopping channels."
Soon to be available in the Middle East, LG's unique space-saving kitchen appliance sports a great design and a highly durable titanium structure. It features a 21 cubic-feet capacity (686 litres) refrigerator, and a 13-inch TFT-LCD monitor TV with 450-candela brightness and 120-degree angle viewing. It also boasts a radio.
Equipped with a multi-aperture flow cooling system, which stops heat from the TV reaching the refrigerator, LG's latest innovation also uses 'Bio Silver' and 'Bio Shield' technology to provide maximum anti-bacterial protection.
The effectiveness of this antibacterial feature has been attested by international public accreditation agencies such as the FDA and EPA in the United States, ISO, and Japan's SIAA.
Mr. K.H Kim added: "LG boasts a number of innovative premium appliances such as its environment-friendly linear refrigerators and French-door refrigerators. The TV refrigerator adds to this list of high-end home appliances, enhancing the lives of our valued customers.
"The TV refrigerator is part of LG's ongoing project aimed at launching new products for the emerging network market. The product attracted much attention from consumers and the press at the International Home Builders Show (IBS) held in Las Vegas in January this year."
