IAA to hold BTL Awards

The Fourth GCC Below-the-Line Awards 2002 are scheduled to be held on May 1, 2002 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dubai.

Organised by the UAE Chapter of the International Advertising Association, the competition is held every alternate year.

The contest's popularity can be gauged by the fact that the previous awards in the year 2000 received a record 454 entries from across the GCC countries.

This year's categories have been further fine tuned to keep pace with the dynamics of the marketing mix. The Relationship Marketing category has been expanded. Web Communications has been added as a new category, which includes web site design and on-line interactive promotions. Entries will be judged by a panel of respected professionals from the region and abroad who will visit Dubai especially for the purpose.

The competition is open to advertising, design and packaging specialists, below-the-line specialist agencies, publishers, printers and companies involved in direct marketing, giveaways and premiums, corporate identity design, web design, Public Relations.
