Emirates Post expands distribution network of 'Postcard Millionaire' campaign
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 16 - 2004 at 16:06
- PRESS RELEASE
UAE Exchange, Choitrams, Giant Supermarkets and select ENOC EPPCO petrol stations now form part of the Postcard Millionaire Campaign's growing distribution network.
"Emirates Post is very pleased with the response the campaign has generated and we want to reach out to as many people as possible," said Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post. "With the widening base of distributors, more people will be able to purchase the postcard packs and write messages to their loved ones, returning to the simple pleasure of putting pen to paper."
UAE Exchange branches all over the UAE have received an encouraging response since the Postcard Millionaire packs went on sale, said Sudhir Kumar Shetty, General Manager, UAE Exchange. "We are very happy to be part of this campaign to offer our customers an opportunity of a lifetime, a chance to become a 'Postcard Millionaire'. The fact that the postcard packs are postage paid is an added advantage, providing the customers with a chance to post their cards to family and friends all over the world."
"Judging by the enthusiastic response we have got from the retail sector, we are confident of achieving our target of 1,500 distribution points in the next two months," said Aldrin Fernandes, Managing Director, Concept Today, the sole distribution and marketing agency for the Postcard Millionaire Campaign.
In addition to the new distribution points, the postcards are available at all Emirates Post post-offices and through its sister company Empost and Emarat petrol stations. The postcards are also widely available through the outlets of the Al Safeer Group, Jacky's Electronics, JVC-Oasis Enterprises and Burger King.
Since the hotline - 600 5 665 665 - became available on June 1, it has served as a useful channel in assisting callers seeking to buy the postcard packs. The hotline is available in five languages: English, Arabic, Russian, Malayalam and Urdu, ensuring that the majority of UAE residents have their queries answered in the language they are most comfortable with.
In addition to the hotline, a website (www.postcardmillionaire.com) has been created to ensure easy access to information on the Campaign. The website provides details of results of the draws and distribution points, apart from enabling UAE residents and tourists to purchase the postcard packs online.
